Registration Is Closed

Thank you to everyone who purchased a pass for Can*Con. We’re honoured that you’re making our con a part of your year.
This year, due to overwhelming interest, we’ve had to close registration so that our venue doesn’t become inaccessible and participants still get to access the panel rooms.

WILL YOU SELL TICKETS ON SITE?

I’m afraid not. We are at 450, and that’s our hard max.

SO I CAN’T COME??? I’M SAD!

We’re sad too! But you can still come!
Wait, what?

WHAT CAN I ACCESS WITHOUT A TICKET?

The dealers’ room is open to the public and we’ll have signings for a bunch of super cool authors going on all weekend. Schedule coming soon!
There are also still some Friday workshops still available.

I HAVE MY TICKET! YAY! WILL I GET INTO EVERY PANEL I WANT TO SEE?

Once we release the full schedule, it’ll be best to select several options for each time slot. You’ll definitely access a panel, and a cool one at that. But we will have volunteers monitoring how full our rooms are to make sure they remain comfortable. Please respect our volunteers – they’re just helping us with flow and accessibility.
Keep in mind that there will be individuals with mobility devices. Be mindful of their need to access the rooms with a comfortable amount of space.

I HAVE A MOBILITY DEVICE? WILL THIS BE A PROBLEM FOR ME?

We’re aiming for it not to be, but please let us know onsite if you require extra support. Our volunteers will keep spots at the front of each programming room for individuals with mobility devices. We also respect that in-between panel crowding in hallways may slow you down, though we hope our attendees will be mindful of your movements, so our volunteers will hold spots in the programming rooms for individuals with mobility devices. We want even a full Can*Con to be a safe space for you.
Please refer to our Accessibility Policy if you have any other concerns and contact our Accessibility Coordinator with questions.

I’M STILL SAD I CAN’T COME TO CAN*CON

And we are, too. This year, we’re hosting the Aurora Awards and starting our Science Literacy Track, so we’ve certainly grown. We hope to welcome you next year.
Thank you all for your trust in our team and vision. This is happening because you believe in us enough to come year after year, and you bring a friend or two with you. That means the world to us.
We look forward to welcoming you at Can*Con!
