Special Guest: Sheila E. Gilbert

Sheila E. Gilbert has worked in publishing for 49 years, starting at Ace Books in 1970, then moving to Signet/NAL in 1972, where she ran the Signet science fiction line. In 1985, Sheila joined DAW Books where she is the executive vice president, and co-owner and co-publisher with Betsy Wollheim.

Sheila began attending conventions in 1963, going to her first Worldcon in 1966. In her decades in publishing she has worked with numerous well known authors and has also launched the careers of quite a few writers. Rob Sawyer has accused her of cornering the American market on Canadian authors. Sheila is a seven-time Hugo nominee, and won the Long Form Editor Hugo in 2016 and 2018.

Because she enjoyed herself so much when she was the editor guest at Can*Con she is delighted to be back again this year.
