Special Guest: Derek Künsken

Derek Künsken writes science fiction and fantasy in Gatineau, Québec. His short fiction has appeared frequently in Asimov’s magazine, various year’s best anthologies, and he won the 2012 Asimov’s Readers’ Award. His first novel The Quantum Magician, a hard SF Ocean’s Eleven, was serialized in Analog Magazine early in 2018. The Quantum Magician has already appeared in serial and book form in China, and will also be appearing in French.

Derek has been Can*Con‘s Co-chair of Programming for a few years and we’re very proud to feature him as a Special Guest, to celebrate his first novel. Make sure to check out his launch at Can*Con on Saturday evening (note from Corporate: there will be glitter).
