Robert J. Sawyer has won the best novel Hugo and Nebula Awards, plus, most recently, the 2017 Robert A. Heinlein Award and both the 2017 Best Novel Aurora Award (for “Quantum Night”) and the Best of the Decade Aurora Award (for his trilogy that began with “Hominids”). The ABC TV series “FlashForward” was based on his Aurora Award-winning novel of the same name. Rob holds honorary doctorates from the University of Winnipeg and Laurentian, was one of the initial inductees into the Canadian Hall of Fame, and is a Member of both the Order of Canada and the Order of Ontario
